Setting up Payments: Currency, Taxes & Payment Processors

Quickly set up your payment settings to start accepting payments online. Pick your preferred currencies and securely connect popular gateways like PayPal, Stripe, and Square. You can also accept major credit cards, online wallets, and more.

Set a Default Currency

The default currency you choose will apply to all your services, invoices, estimates, and online payments but you can also accept multiple currencies if you want.

To set a default currency: 

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Payments.
  4. Click Currency.
  5. Choose a default currency.
  6. Optional: Check the I offer services in multiple currencies box.
  7. Click Save.
Important: When using Square as your payment processor, you will only be able to receive payments in a single currency. We recommend disabling multiple currencies to avoid confusion.

Add Taxes

You can add taxes to all services and products or apply different taxes to specific items. This is helpful if some items require different tax rates.

To add taxes:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Billing & Invoicing.
  4. Click Taxes & Tips.
  5. Select Prices Exclude Tax or Prices Include Tax.
  6. Under "Tax List," enter the tax details.
  7. Optional: Click + Add new tax to add more taxes.
  8. Click Save.

Delete Taxes

To delete taxes:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Billing & Invoicing.
  4. Click Taxes & Tips.
  5. Next to the tax under "Tax list," click the more options icon image.png.
  6. Click Delete tax.
  7. Click Save.

Connect a Payment Processor

To start accepting payments, simply connect at least one payment processor.

To connect a payment processor:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Payments.
  4. Click Payment Providers.
  5. Select a payment processor.
  6. Click Connect.
  7. Follow the prompts to connect your payment processor.
  8. Click Save.
