To integrate Google Analytics 4:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click App Market.
  3. Select Google Analytics.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Click Open app.
  6. Enter your Google Analytics 4 ID. You can find your Google Analytics 4 ID here.
  7. Click Save.

Note: GA4 may take up to 24-48 hours to sync.

Test Google Analytics 4

To test Google Analytics 4:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Client Portal.
  3. Click View as demo client.
  4. Click an action.

View Realtime Reporting

To view Realtime Reporting:

  1. Sign in to your Google Analytics account.
  2. Click Reports.
  3. Click Realtime.
  4. See "Event Count" for event data.

Note: The first realtime events can take up to 24 hours to sync. Some other events might also take up to 24 hours to fully process, even if they appear in the Realtime report right away.

View Data

To view data:

  1. Sign in to your Google Analytics account.
  2. Click Reports.
  3. Click Engagement.
  4. Click Events.

Important: No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is sent to Google Analytics or any other systems. Conversion tracking in your account fully complies with HIPAA standards and regulations to protect your data.

Track Online Events

All client activities include the following parameters: 

  • %userid% - Unique identifier of a user as it appears in CRM
  • %activityid% - Generated activity, such as a meeting id
  • %event%- Always show "client portal (Previously LiveSite)
  • %type% - Event Category
  • %name% - Event name as it appears in your analytics dashboard
  • %price% - Purchase prices and payment amounts (Only for relevant events)

Connect Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a central platform that lets you configure and manage multiple tags, such as Facebook Pixel and Google Ads. You can track the same events used in Google Analytics 4 and apply them to Facebook Pixel and Google Ads.

To connect Google Tag Manager:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click App Market.
  3. Select Google Analytics.
  4. Click Install.
  5. Click Open app.
  6. Enter your Google Tag Manager ID. You can find your Google Tag Manger ID here.
  7. Click Save.

Setting Up Tags

You can create tags for Google Ads to track conversions or other specific events. You can also set up tags for Facebook Pixel to track events such as page views, form submissions, purchases, or custom actions. 

Configuring Triggers

Triggers determine when and where the tags should be implemented. You can configure them in Google Tag Manager based on specific events or conditions such as page loads, button clicks, form submissions, or custom data layer events. 

Preview Your Changes

Before publishing your changes, we recommend using Google Tag Manager’s preview mode to make sure everything is working perfectly. Once you’re happy with the setup, you can confidently publish your updates.

To preview your changes:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Client Portal.
  3. Under Client Portal URL, click Copy.
  4. Open Google Tag Manager and sign in to your account.
  5. Click the Preview button.
  6. Paste the URL of the site.
  7. Click Connect.

FAQ

Why can’t I see Google Analytics 4 in the App Market?

Google Analytics 4 is not included in all subscription plans. If it’s missing from your App Market, please reach out to our support team for help.

Do you still support Google Universal Analytics?

Google Universal Analytics was discontinued on July 1st, 2023, so it’s no longer supported.

Does Google Analytics 4 track back office events?

No, Google Analytics 4 only tracks events on your Client Portal, business pages, and widgets.
