Targeting Strategies for Campaigns & Announcements

Using tags and managing client consent are great ways to make sure your campaigns and announcements reach the right people at the right time.

Add Tags

To add tags:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Clients.
  3. Select the client(s) you want to tag.
  4. Click Add Tags.
  5. Type in a tag and then press Enter or Space to add it.
  6. Click Add Tags.

Search Tags

To search tags:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Clients.
  3. Click Filters.
  4. Click Tags.
  5. Select the tag(s) you want to search.
  6. Click Filter clients.
Tip: You can also use client status as a filter for selecting campaign recipients.

Client Consent

We recommend sending campaigns only to clients who’ve given their consent, in line with data protection laws like GDPR.

To see if a client has given consent:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Clients.
  3. Click the client’s name to view their details.
  4. Under "Contact Information", click Show More.
  5. Under "Communication Details," check the Opted-in Promotions field. It will say "Yes" if they have given consent.
Note: If you don’t see the Opted-in Promotions field, the client hasn’t given their consent.

Get Consent

To get consent:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Client & Contact Info.
  4. Click Add Client Field.
  5. Under "Field Type", select Opt-in.
  6. Enter a field name.
  7. Check Send campaigns only to opted-in clients.
  8. Optional: Check Required Field.
  9. Click Save.

Stay Compliant with Campaigns

By sending campaigns through our system, you agree to our Terms of Service and are responsible for complying with the US CAN-SPAM Act and local laws. SMS campaigns must follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991. Our spam detection may lock your account without notice if it detects suspicious activity, such as unauthorized lists, high bounce rates, misleading content, or copyright violations.
