How do I create a payment button or link for my website?

Accepting payments directly on your website streamlines your client experience and helps you get paid faster. We'll show you how to create customized payment buttons and links to help you grow your business.

Important: For your payment button and link to work, first customize your online payment settings and connect to a payment processor so you can accept online payments. See related articles for more info. 

Creating a Payment Button using the Business Page Template

To create a payment button:

1. Open the platform.
2. Click Online Presence.
3. Click Business Page.
4. Click Edit Business Page.
5. Click Action Buttons.
6. Next to the relevant category, click the edit icon .
7. Enter the button text and description.
8. Optional: Under "Payment Link Options", enter the "Pay for" reason (In Office Appointment, phone call etc.)
9. Optional: Enter the payment amount.
10. Optional: Click Button Style, then select a style. Keep "Use Theme Colors" checked to use, or uncheck to select new colors.
11. Under "Icon", select an icon to appear on your button.
12. Click Save.

When this payment button is clicked, the client will be taken to a payment form they'll fill out before submitting their payment.

Previewing Your Buttons

In the top corner, click the Desktop and Mobile icons to switch between previews. 

 

Creating a Payment Button using HTML

To create a payment button:

1. Open the platform.
2. Click Online Presence.
3. Click Website Widgets.
4. Under Links & Buttons, click Customize Your Actions.
5. Select what will happen when the button is clicked:

• A floating window that opens on top of your webpage (Not recommended for Wix)
• A simple link that opens another webpage tab

6. Under "Choose an Action", select Make Payment.
7. Next to "Pay for", select Let Client Choose or the relevant service.
8. Next to "Amount", select Let Client Choose or enter an amount.
9. Under "Instructions", follow the steps listed to add the button to your webpage. 

Creating a Payment Link 

To create a payment link:

1. Open the platform.
2. Click Client Portal.
3. Next to Create Direct Links, click Create.
4. Click Pay.
5. Optional: Enter what the client is paying for. (In-Office Appointment, phone call etc.)
6. Optional: Enter the payment amount.
7. Click Get Link.
8. Click Grab Link to copy.

You can now use this link in emails, marketing campaigns, and on your website.
