Online payments are key to running your business, making transactions faster and easier for both you and your clients. This article covers payment processors and how to connect them, review payment processing details, and help you enable partial payments.
Choose a Payment Processor
There are several payment processors to choose from:
- Stripe: Stripe typically takes 1-2 business days to deposit payments into your bank account.
- Square: Square payments will be processed by the next business day if they are made before midnight.
- PayPal Wallet: You have two options for transferring money in PayPal:
- Standard Transfer: This option is free and usually takes 1-3 business days to complete.
- Instant Transfer: With this option, your funds are transferred immediately to your PayPal account, but there's a small fee based on the transfer amount.
Payment Processing Details
- Processing Fees: Your payment processor will charge your account based on their fees. Be sure to check their terms and conditions for more details.
- Currency Settings: Make sure your default currency is set for payments and matches your business location.
Connect to Payment Processors
To get started, follow these steps:
- Open the platform.
- Click Settings.
- Select the Connect Payment Provider button.
- Choose your payment providers and click Connect.
- Click Save to complete the setup.
Enable Online Payments
To enable online payments:
- Open the platform.
- Click Settings.
- Select Payments.
- Under "Online Payments", check the options that apply to you.
Enable Partial Payments
To enable partial payments:
- Open the platform and go to Settings.
- Click Billing & Invoices.
- Check Enable partial payments for invoices under the “Partial Payments” section.
- Optional: Specify a minimum percentage clients need to pay.
Set Price for an Appointment
To set the price for an appointment:
- Open the platform.
- Click Calendar.
- Click Appointment List.
- Under "Payment status," check the Not Paid box to filter unpaid appointments.
- Select an appointment from the list.
- Click the Take Payment button.
- In the “Set Price” dialog, enter the payment details.
- Click Add.
You’ll be directed to the Checkout page to complete the payment.
Record the Payment
This records the payment but you can also explore other payment methods based on your setup. On the Checkout page, you can adjust the price, apply discounts, add items, and then record the payment.
To record the payment:
- Click the Checkout button.
- Select Record payment.
- Confirm the details are correct.
- Click Record.
The appointment will now be marked as “Paid” and the sale will be linked to the service and the booking.

Why am I seeing the “Your account cannot make live charges” error?
If you're seeing this error, it's likely because your new Stripe or Square account hasn't been authorized yet.
