Setting Up Automated Billing

Simplify recurring payments with automated billing. Send invoices or payment requests at convenient intervals so clients receive consolidated and up-to-date payment reminders.

We recommend enabling online payments so clients can easily pay you online. 

To view payments for a specific client:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Clients.
  3. Click the relevant client.
  4. Click Payments.
  5. Click Overdue & Due Payments.

Important: Auto-billing applies to all clients once enabled. It's not currently possible to enable auto-billing for single clients or groups of clients.

Enable Auto-Billing

To enable automated billing:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Payments.
  4. Click Automated Billing.

5.  Select an auto-billing option:

  • Draft invoices: Create a draft invoice that will appear in the "Billing & Invoicing" section, so you can review the invoice before sending
  • Send invoices: Immediately send the invoice at scheduled intervals. Clients with no outstanding invoices at billing time will not receive a reminder message.
  • Send payment links: Immediately send a payment link for the full amount at the scheduled intervals. An invoice will not be created.
  1. Select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
  2. Select Email, SMS, or both. (Not available for drafts)
  3. Click Done.
  4. At the top of the screen, click Save.

Review and Send Draft Invoices

To view and send draft invoices:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Payments.
  3. Click Billing and Invoicing.
  4. Under "Filter Billing & Invoicing", click the caret icon , then select Draft.

  1. Enter the remaining relevant information.
  2. Click the relevant draft invoice.
  3. Click Approve Draft.

To clear filters, at the bottom of the screen click Clear Selection
